Home Water Valves

Check your home’s water valves to ensure that they are both opened completely. If the valves are not opened completely, the unit will not fill with the necessary amount of water. The IE will display if the machine is not filled with water in approximately 8 minutes.

If the inlet valves were closed, unplug your washer for approximately 10 seconds to clear the code and try the cycle again.

Inlet Hoses and Filters

Issues with the inlet hoses are one of the main causes of the ‘IE’ error code. To determine if your inlet hoses are causing the ‘IE’ error code:

Turn off the water valves and remove the hoses completely. Have a small bucket handy to empty any water from the hoses.

Once removed, check the inlet filters on the inlet valves on the washer. The inlet filters are intended to filter mineral deposits from hard water and other debris from entering the unit. If clogged, water will not flow through the filters at the required rate. If the filters are clogged, remove them from the washer and clean with warm soapy water and reinstall.

The inlet hoses cannot be kinked or damaged. This will prevent proper water flow into the machine. Straighten out any kinks in the hoses. If the hoses are damaged, they will need to be replaced.

After performing these steps, reattach the inlet hoses to the washer. Turn the water valves back on and attempt a new cycle to see if the error code reoccurs.

Types of Hoses Being Used

It is recommended that you only use the supplied LG hoses that came with your washer. If you are using FloodSafe hose connections, this should not cause a problem with the washer in a normal state. However, the connector on the FloodSafe hoses can influence the washer while the unit is filling. If using FloodSafe hoses and experiencing the ‘IE’ error, you would need to reinstall the supplied LG hoses and see if the error persists.

LG Refrigerator Repair and Service Los Angeles: have a bottom freezer LG or Side by side. The fridge works fine but the freezer is not getting cold. It's cool, but doesn't get cold enough to make ice. Here is the story so far:

A repairman needs to come out and pull the cover inside the back wall of the freezer. Technicians found the coils had frost on the upper right hand corner but not on the whole thing. It might look look bad fan so Overnight, the freezer began working but the fridge now stopped. After installing a new fan the following day, we regained the fridge, but once again lost the freezer.

LG refrigerator no longer blows cold air in the refrigerator or freezer compartments. You can hear the compressor click ever 5-10 minutes or so but there is no cold air. Sometimes you can feel room temperature air blow into the fridge but most of the time you get nothing. The front electronics appear to be in normal working order. The fan blowing across the coils works. The coils are clean.
The fridge was recently transported to new house on its side (only on its side for 15-20 minutes) No reason to worry we fix all problems.

refrigerator (side by side French doors) with bottom freezer. The issue is as follows:  have the display setting for the freezer set at 0F and refrigerator compartment 36F.  however, the freezer compartment will only get to about 15-20F, and the refrigerator compartment gets to 40F.  you shut off power to the refrig. for 60 secs and then powered it back on (thinking it would "reset" the pcb board).  The compressor, condenser coil fan, and evaporator fan are all running. Coils are clean. You can feel air coming into the freezer compartment (back wall vents) and also the refrigerator vents.  A lot of time different problems with LG refrigerators, Experienced Technicians

= LG Washing Machine Repair ( Washer Repair) of Los Angeles: washer and the drum will not rotate any more?  motor spins just fine but the drum does not spin with it. You can turn the drum by hand easily and I took off the front and there is nothing between the outer drum and inner drum. While the machine is running if I bang it the drum will spin but then stop after a few seconds. Make a very loud noise when it spins ? checked the spider arms and they looked fine but the shaft coming out of them that actually turns the drum rotates freely. This shaft should not move unless the drum is moving. Direct drive motor is locking up and making a squealing sound as if the forward and reverse coils are energizing simultaneously. Might be a mother board but always needs to be checked it by professional technicians. The tests suggested the problem was in the main power board. The first time this happened  unplug the machine so the process could reset. This will solve the problem. But different problem will appear , something like  motor locks up at the start of the cycle and trips an LE error.

= LG Dryer Repair and Service in Los Angeles: Dryer Does not spin? Dryer does not Heat? First check the power.

The heater requires the full 240 volts.
Try flipping the breaker off/on slowly a couple times. Sometimes you can loose half the line without actually tripping the breaker.
Check the voltage at the plug
L1 to L2 should be 240 volts
L1 to Neutral and L2 to Neutral, both should be 120 volts.
If OK
Unplug the unit and check the wires at the terminal strip in the machine to make sure none are loose or burned out
If OK
